श्री madmaheshwar trek begins from ransii village in rudraprayag district of uttarakhand. From ransi village you have to trek 18 km to reach madmaheshwar temple. how to reach ransi village: If you are coming frrom Rishikesh or haridwar them first you have to reach Rudraprayag. It takes 4 hours drive to reach rudraprayag from rishikesh. Then board sharing taxi to ukhimath. It takes 1 hour to reach ukhimath from rudraprayag. Then from ukhimath you can board another sharing taxi to ransi village. Stay options: you get multiple stay options on this trek. You can stay at base camp in rassi village. Or if you have time in hand, you can walk another 5 km an stay in gaundar village or bantoli village and begin your trek early morning from gaundar or bantoli village. TREK DISTANCE: 18 KM from one side. TREK DIFFICULTY: Till bantoli village trek is easy but after bantoli village you have to do a continuos steep climb of 10 km to reach the temple.
