Walt Aldridge and John Paul White
Walt Aldridge and John Paul White are both products of the University of North Alabama's Entertainment Industry programs, though they are individually talented and successful in their own respects. Walt took John Paul under his wing and mentored him as a young songwriter, and John Paul credits much of his success to Walt's mentorship. The Department of Entertainment Industry at the University of North Alabama currently offers students opportunities to get hands-on learning opportunities with 2 on-site recording studios, a performance venue, Midi lab for electronic music, and dedicated writer’s room for songwriters where students sharpen their skills and hone their industry preparedness. The life of our department flows from our faculty and staff - all of whom have worked in various capacities in the entertainment industry and bring their real-world experiences into the classroom. Janna Malone is responsible for curating interviews and overseeing this project. Ben Flippo shot, edited, and produced graphics and video content. Special thanks to: UNA Department of Cinematic Arts and Theatre for providing lighting and camera equipment for the project. Mark Narmore for providing voice over services Shannon Wells and UNA archives for photographs Walt Aldridge - for photographs WAAY 31 for permitting us to use footage from news broadcasts about the early program Music provided royalty-free by: Craig Reever - Pulling Me In Daniel Kaede - New Journey
