Developing a Foundation with a Yearling Horse - Justin Hatfield
Team Weaver member Justin Hatfield talks about the importance of working with young horses and laying a foundation with them before ever riding them. By “sacking out” or exposing your horse to new obstacles and equipment, it will become much easier when you are ready to ride them when they are older. It is advised to make sure to use a light saddle on yearlings and young horses so that they still understand the concept but will not risk harming them.
