I spent the morning fishing my buddy Tim’s private lake in Kentucky, right behind the Airbnb cabin on his property. The plan was simple, fish the lily pads, throw spinnerbaits, mess around with some finesse stuff, and see if I could find one of the big bass that live in this lake. It did not take long. Right off the bat, I hooked into my new personal best largemouth, a 20 inch, 4 lb 5 oz bass on a white and chartreuse spinnerbait with a Z-Man paddletail trailer. After that, the day turned into a mix of bass, giant sunfish, wind, finesse fishing, a lost underwater GoPro, and somehow another personal best, this time an 11 oz sunfish.
