On April 26, 1986, the worst nuclear disaster in history occurred. That day, at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, reactor number 4 exploded, releasing the radioactive equivalent of several dozen Hiroshima bombs. The region was contaminated for millennia. And for nearly 30 years, a journalist followed this story, investigating, trying to understand, and even traveling to the site several times.
