Among the main options in its diet are insects, larvae and earthworms, as well as ripe fruits such as papaya, orange and avocado. It also consumes small coconuts from various species of palm trees. In this way, the Rufous-bellied Thrush contributes to the dispersal of these trees, since it usually spits out their seeds and pits soon after consumption. The female Rufous-bellied Thrush lays eggs up to 3 times a year, with 3 to 4 eggs per clutch. Incubation lasts about 13 days. It's interesting to note that both the male and female take turns, from building the nest to feeding the chicks. The nests of this species are usually built on the eaves of roofs. However, depending on the location, the bird may be mistaken and build several similar nests, confusing the space where it originally settled. #birds of Brazil #RUFYBELL #rufbelliedthrush
