Wading Boot Felt Sole Repair

Recently, whilst out fishing my local river the sole of my right wading boot felt became unattached from the mid-sole from the toe to the start of the heel. Luckily, the heel stayed attached. In this video I show you the repair process I used to reattach the felt sole to the mid-sole. However, I used Gorilla Glue for it's high strength and ability to bond dissimilar materials. I wasn't aware that the glue, once set, would be a creamy colour and cause such a eyesore once the tape was removed. I would in future, use the same method as I did here but place the boots in hot water for a few minutes to soften the existing old adhesive before attempting removal of the felt sole. I would also use a dry clear, non expanding adhesive. Stay tuned to find out how the felt soles perform where I will give you an update in future videos. Thank you for watching!
