The opera singer Betty Garcés showed that the freedom one finds in singing what we feel. Singing is freeing emotions. Even being trapped in our thoughts, singing as in silence releases us. The soprano born in Buenaventura, pursued her musical and singing studies at the Antonio María Valencia Conservatory in the city of Cali, where she subsequently graduated with honors. In 2009, she moved to Germany to continue her studies at the Graduate School of Music in the city of Cologne, where she obtained her Master of Arts degree. Her graduate studies ended with a advanced specialization in Opera and Lied at the Hanover Graduate School of Music in Germany. Currently, and with the spirit of fulfilling her purpose and goals, Betty has begun to build her career as an opera singer, carrying her voice to international and national stages and displaying in each of her presentations those special ingredients that define it. The passion for what she does and the faith from which her dreams became a reality.
