A century ago, Vimalakirti and Manjushri engaged in profound dialogues within the Binyang Central Cave of the Longmen Grottoes. In the 1930s, these two sacred statues were tragically separated. Today, Manjushri remains on the Longmen cliffs, while Vimalakirti has crossed the vast ocean, gazing back from afar. Though his serene smile endures, it is shadowed by the profound sorrow of being an ocean apart.
