The word "trauma" is used frequently today. In fact, it is overused, but it is also true that the church of Jesus Christ resides in a traumatized world. Natural disasters, interpersonal trauma, and violence victims combined make up a huge pool of suffering and often incapacitated humans, many not only right outside the doors of our churches but also sitting in our pews.
