Unfortunately, our stay in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer was accompanied by strong winds, so our planned bike ride to the lighthouse was virtually stuck in the sand. The next day, our motorhome journey continued along the western Mediterranean coast. We drove through the impressive landscape of the magnificent Camargue toward Montpellier. The route repeatedly ran alongside beautiful lagoons filled with countless flamingos. As a stop for our next stay, we decided to make a stop in Balaruc-les-Bains to explore the area surrounding the Ètang de Thau and pay a visit to the lively port town of Sète. We quickly settled into the cozy campsite in the heart of the town and set off on our exploration. Beautiful mountain villages, oyster farms, incomparable sunsets, and palm trees and citrus fruits were our companions for the next two days.
