Following Charles Dickens through York County Pennsylvania a year before writing A Christmas Carol
In 1842, Charles Dickens visited the United States. Dickens wrote about the visit in "American Notes". In this video I re-trace the route that Dickens took through York County as he travelled from Baltimore Maryland to Harrisburg Pennsylvania. This is the first part of a series detailing the route and writings of Dickens as he travelled through Pennsylvania by stage coach, rail and the Pennsylvania Canal system.
