In the aftermath, Ilghazi continued to attack the Crusader territory, leading to the battle of Hab, as king Baldwin counterattacked (   • Battle of Hab 1119 - Baldwin Strikes Back ...  ). Over the next years, the Eastern Roman Emperor John III also intervened into the events, but the siege and fall of Edessa in 1444 took the center stage, triggering the beginning of the Second Crusade.
