Castellated beams – Overcoming design limitations with CBFEM
Castellated beams are widely used structural elements that offer various advantages but also come with many design limitations. In this webinar we discuss the recent advancements in this field and how the CBFEM method can be applied to tackle almost any limitation safely. We explore the available modelling options for the introduction of boundary conditions and their impact on the analysis results. Lastly, we look into the available types of analysis and their range of applications. Specifically, material non-linear (MNA) analysis, geometrically material non-linear analysis with imperfections (GMNIA) and lastly the eigenvalue stability analysis.
