John Scofield - my former guitar teacher and 3-time Grammy Award Winner - is a legendary jazz guitarist known for his long prolific career as a solo artist and his work with an extended list of amazing jazz luminaries, including as Miles Davis' guitarist from 1982 to 1985, and for his own recordings and projects as a band leader since that time. John is without a doubt a pioneer of modern jazz guitar. As a guitarist and composer, he is widely known as a chameleon on the guitar; for his great extensive body of work, awesome compositions, his incredible phrasing, creative soloing, use of space, etc. This strong performance showcased John's fantastic band, and for everyone there it was a great Pre-Thanskgiving holiday vibe!
