More Than Meets the Eye: Understanding Ocular Tuberculosis

This training provided public health clinicians with a focused overview of ocular tuberculosis, a rare but severe manifestation of TB. Participants gained skills in diagnosing and managing ocular TB using evidence-based approaches, and learned to recognize treatment-related complications that may affect vision. The training emphasized the critical role of clinical and public health nursing case management in ensuring treatment adherence, monitoring for adverse effects, and supporting patients throughout their care journey. Strategies for preventing transmission, coordinating care across disciplines, and improving outcomes for both patients and communities were also highlighted. This webinar is part of a collaborative Nurse Education Series.
