Join me for a challenging sunrise landscape photography adventure at Dunstanburgh Castle on the rugged Northumberland coastline. Battling slippery black boulders, crashing waves, unexpected high tide conditions, and soaking wet gear, this turned into one of the most unpredictable coastal photography sessions I’ve had in a long time. Using the OM SYSTEM OM-1 Mark ii Micro Four Thirds setup, Live ND filters, polarizers, graduated filters, and wide-angle compositions, I set out to capture dramatic seascapes, golden hour light, and atmospheric long exposure photography around the castle and coastline. From wave-washed foregrounds to beautiful sunrise colours illuminating the landscape, this morning delivered some incredible moments despite the difficult conditions.
