[Report] President Park Min-won of Changwon National University, who called for a press conference, stood before the cameras alongside administrators. He explained that the transition to a special corporation, including the conversion to a science and technology institute—which had sparked controversy—was a choice made for the university's survival. Although he has been pushing for the "conversion to a science and technology institute" since immediately after his inauguration, up to the "Glocal University Implementation Plan" submitted to the Ministry of Education, he promised to adjust his strategy by gathering the opinions of the members. To this end, he plans to launch a Public Deliberation Committee to discuss the direction of full-scale university restructuring together. At the same time, they emphasized that they are ready to discuss ways to develop the university and contribute to the local community.
