Leicestershire Churches: St Michael's, Edmondthorpe
Historically many English country villages were very closely linked to the local big house and its family, and this is reflected in the churches. St. Michael's, Edmondthorpe, just inside Leicestershire (I checked), is such a church, closely connected with the Hall. The Hall was burned down during the Second World War, and the church is now redundant, but it is still looked after and remains an important historic monument.
