This is a video of trains arriving, departing, and passing through Takatsuki Station on the JR Kyoto Line (Tokaido Main Line) during the weekday evening rush hour (17:00-20:00). The video shows the Special Rapid Service, rapid service, local trains, and the Kyoto-bound "Haruka" train stopping at the station, as well as the limited express "Thunderbird," the Kansai Airport-bound "Haruka," "Raku-Raku Harima," "Raku-Raku Biwako," "Hida," "Super Hakuto," "Kuroshio," and "Konotori" (out-of-service), and freight trains passing through. Most of the limited express trains pass through the station, but the Kyoto-bound "Haruka" stops at this time. Most of the "Haruka" trains are "Hello Kitty Haruka" trains, but of the two Kyoto-bound "Haruka" trains that stopped, the first six cars were not decorated with Hello Kitty. You can also hear the music horn on the first "Haruka" train without a wrapping. Since the timetable change in March 2024, the "Raku-Raku Harima" has started departing and arriving at Kyoto, so it can now be seen at Takatsuki Station. The "Raku-Raku Biwako" also now runs to Maibara during this time period. The "Hida" is a new HC85 series train that began running in Osaka in March 2023. The special rapid service is also shown in the picture as an A-seat coupled train. During this time period, half of the local trains coming from Osaka turn around at Takatsuki Station, and after arriving, they enter the siding on the Kyoto side, then turn around and enter the platform for Osaka. The outer platforms 1 and 6 are through/stop platforms for special rapid service and express trains, and of the inner island platforms 2, 3, and 4 and 5, the innermost platforms 3 and 4 are for local trains (stopping at every station), and 2 and 5 are for rapid service (local trains east of Takatsuki).
