Safety and Reliability Checks Before Riding the Channel's 2001 Sportster XL1200S Sport
The channel's 2001 Sportster XL1200S Sport is an original, unmodified bike with low mileage. The motorcycle's previous owner kept the Sportster in top condition and enjoyed trouble-free riding. It's tempting to just jump on a motorcycle like this and ride. However, before riding any preowned motorcycle, we need to look the bike over carefully and make sure it is safe and reliable. With only 10,090 miles on the odometer, this 24-year-old motorcycle spent a lot of time parked safely in a garage. The follow-up will be rebuilding the Keihin CV40 carburetor and flushing the brake system.
