Two Homes Damaged in Early Morning Bakersfield House Fire
July 5, 2026 — At approximately 12:07 a.m., the Bakersfield Fire Department and Kern County Fire Department responded to the 3000 block of Skyline Boulevard following reports of a house fire. The first arriving engine reported that the rear of the residence was fully engulfed in flames and advised that a second home to the rear was also becoming involved by the fire. Firefighters worked quickly to bring the fire under control and prevent further spread. The extent of the damage to both homes has not yet been released. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Bakersfield Fire Department Arson Unit.
