At 59 years old, I left the United States and moved to Bangkok, Thailand. I didn't know anyone. I had no friends, no family, and no idea which neighborhood I should choose. It was just me and my dog starting over in a brand-new country. In this video, I share what it was really like to reinvent my life in Bangkok—from exploring different neighborhoods and finding my condo in Ekkamai to settling into daily life, making new friends, getting my education visa, and creating a home that felt safe and comfortable for both me and my dog. Some days I'm amazed by the temples, the culture, the people, and the experiences I'm having. Other days I'm sweating through my clothes and wondering if the traffic will ever move. But through it all, I've found happiness here.
