In this video, I'm heading back to my favorite hidden gem supermarket. Not only am I restocking my groceries for the week, but I'm also preparing a very special feast. If you're curious about the real cost of living in China, or want to see how I cook this massive bowl of spicy crayfish, stay tuned\! ------------- Recipe: Spicy Crayfish – A Super Popular Classic Chinese Dish Perfect for gatherings with friends, solo treats, or celebrations 1. Clean the crayfish and wash and cut your preferred vegetables 2. Sauté the aromatics: Heat an empty pan, pour in cooking oil. Once the oil smokes, add onion slices, ginger slices, green onions and garlic. Simmer over medium heat to bring out the fragrance 3. Stir-fry the crayfish: Add all crayfish, turn to high heat, and stir-fry until all shells turn bright red 4. Season and simmer: Pour in the pre-made spicy crayfish sauce packet, stir well. Add vegetables and toss briefly. Pour beer to fully cover the crayfish. Bring to a rolling boil on high heat, then turn to low heat, cover the lid and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes 5. Thicken the sauce: Turn up to high heat to reduce and thicken the sauce (about 1 minute). Turn off the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes for deeper flavor 6.
