Traveling Occitanie With a Baby | Nîmes, Arles, Camargue & Our Favorite Hidden Food Spots

In this video, we take you with us on our little family adventure through Occitanie, in the South of France — our first “real” road trip stop after exploring Annecy and Provence. Milo is only a few months old here, so everything felt new for all three of us. 💛 We based ourselves in Nîmes, which was perfect for exploring the region, and from there we visited a bit of everything: Roman cities, wild nature, beach towns… and of course, the yummiest hidden cafés. Here’s what the trip looked like 🌿 Camargue National Park We’d heard so much about it — white horses, flamingos, rice fields. And yes, you can drive through the park! It wasn’t our favorite spot visually, but crossing the river on the old wooden barge was a fun surprise, and we did enjoy wandering around Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, even if the heat (and a crying Milo) cut the visit short. 🏛️ Arles — Our Favorite Stop Honestly, Arles blew us away. It’s smaller than Nîmes but feels incredibly charming. Roman ruins everywhere — the amphitheatre, the ancient theatre, and even the underground cryptoportiques. We also found one of the best homemade restaurants of the whole trip: Le Végé d’Arles. Beautiful garden, live music, and the most colorful plates. And Milo loved sitting on the grass here. ⛲ Nîmes — Roman History & Cozy Cafés We visited twice during our stay. The old town is lovely, and the Roman sites — the Arena, the Temple of Diana, the Tour Magne — are amazing to explore with a stroller. But our favorite moment was discovering Le Cottage d’Annabelle, a tea room full of vintage decor and homemade dishes. Perfect break before getting back on the road. It was a slow, sunny, sometimes chaotic but very sweet chapter of our summer as a family of three.
