He studied Aqīdah [Islamic theology] with Shaykh Mufti Musa Badat the khalifah of Mufti Mahmood Hasan Gangohi [r.h]. He attained ijaazah in hadith from Shaykhul Hadith Mufti Muslihuddin and in the 7 Qira'ats from Shaykh Imtiyaz. He also got ijazah at the completion of Bukhari from Maulana Tariq Jameel. Currently Shaykh is an imam in a masjid in Bradford in which he serves the needs of his local community at large. In addition he teaches Islamic studies in a secondary school.
