January 5, 1984 Day of violence at the Talbot factory in Poissy: 6:30 p.m.: Strikers evacuate the factory, led by Nora Trehel, demonstration in the streets of Poissy. Flashback to 7:30 a.m.: CFDT meeting, J.P. Noual at the microphone calls for calm, charges muscular CSL activists, immigrant worker with bloody face, fights in the workshops: CSL workers with chains throw bolts and bombard with water hoses. CFDT activists form a chain to separate the fighters, evacuate an injured person, charge non-strikers outside to prevent the strikers from leaving, injured immigrant worker evacuated amidst the jeers of non-strikers who shout racist remarks, interview with Hervé Martin (CSL): people react with their guts. Non-striking workers outside the factory shout "we want to work" as the CRS arrives. They applaud the police and sing the Marseillaise.
