We start with the basics: what gene expression is and how the process of DNA → mRNA → protein works; transcription and translation; and then we move on to key details that often determine final exam scores – such as start/stop codons, base complementarity, and the differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. I also explain, among other things: ✔ Post-transcriptional processing (introns and exons) ✔ The rules for writing DNA and RNA strands and the directions of synthesis (3' → 5') ✔ The differences between the template and coding strands ✔ The most common mistakes made by final exam students and how to avoid them In the second part, we analyze real final exam problems that most students find difficult (e.g., only 27–35% correct answers), so you know exactly what to focus on to earn points. 👉 If you're preparing for your biology final exam and want to quickly master molecular genetics, this video is for you. 💬 Leave a comment telling us what topics you'd like to review before the exam!
