Die Baureihe V200, 120 und 220 oder nur Taigatrommel
More information about large diesel locomotives can be found here: https://www.ekshop.de/dvd-cd/dvd/baur... From 1966 to 1975, the East German State Railway (DR) put 378 diesel locomotives of the then-current V200 series, later designated Class 120, into service. Their distinctive noise earned them the nickname "Taiga Drum." All of these locomotives were retired by the mid-1990s. Some survived for a while longer on private railways.
