梅雨明けみたいで全員◎　0708

The Japan Meteorological Agency hasn't declared the end of the rainy season yet because they've failed several times, but it hasn't rained for days and the forecast continues for scorching hot days. The wildcats don't seem to have much trouble with the heat, probably because the altitude is 2-3°C lower than the lowlands and their basal body temperature is higher, but for those of us who hike in the mountains, it's going to be a battle against the intense heat and lots of insects from now on. This morning Junior wasn't there, so after I finished cleaning up his food and was about to head home with my bag on my shoulder, Choro went to meet him and came back. Tora and Omagari were all there too, Gucchan ate alone, and Para and Mi-chan ate on the stairs. Upstairs, Black Mama and Inazuma were also there, and just like yesterday, everyone was great. Today's thumbnail is Mi-chan (female). She was abandoned in the mountains at the end of last year and captured for spaying surgery, but even now she's still wary of me when I get close. But she and Para are as close as a couple and have now completely adapted to life as wildcats.
