Faustball-WM: Deutschland – Schweiz (Re-Live) | SWR Sport

The preliminary round match between Germany and Switzerland at the Fistball World Championship in Mannheim will be broadcast live on SWR Sport on July 23, 2023, starting at 7:00 PM. On Sunday evening, the German team will play its second group match at this World Championship. Their opponent is Switzerland, a fistball nation with a long tradition. Like Germany, Switzerland has participated in all 15 World Championships to date. For Germany, this is likely to be the toughest opponent in this group. At the 2015 World Championship, Switzerland lost the final against Germany and became runner-up. The best players in the world from every continent are traveling to Mannheim; a total of 16 nations are competing in these World Championships. Germany has participated in every World Championship to date and has been crowned world champion 12 times – more often than any other nation. However, defending their title will be no easy feat, as nations like Austria, Brazil, Switzerland, and Namibia should not be underestimated. The preliminary round will be played outdoors at the Rhein-Neckar-Stadion. 5,000 spectators can experience the games live here. The semi-finals and final will then take place in the SAP Arena, where turf will be laid especially for the occasion. Tickets are still available, but the players are hoping to play in front of a sold-out crowd of 16,000.
