candy HCU1492DE - spin only 1400rpm

spinning out the load of towels from the failed attempt at recording cotton 90°. as you can hear, at low speeds there is a twanging noise which most likely comes from the springs. this doesn't bother me because i view it as a similar thing to LG having noisy shocks (and plus, it only happens up as far as 300rpm). the motors they use in these brushed models sound good, in my opinion. i'm guessing it's a welling, since it sounds very close to my indesit which used welling. might even be the same motor, since indesit could have actually reached 1461rpm at the most (with a 1:13 ratio). i do have to say, the motor is definitely not as loud as people make out they are. i also want to make a point of saying, this BRUSHED candy holds for longer than my INVERTER hisense (ignoring eco cycles). i'm surprised that it didn't sudslock or waterlock considering this was a full load of soapy, saturated towels and i couldn't possibly count how many times people have told me "it'll sudslock with everything cos it's brushed". whatever they've done differently with the ultra models, it really has worked. spin performance of this candy is fairly average, nothing special. doesn't compare to LG in the slightest. i'd say it's equivalent to the indesit's spin performance which isn't very impressive, considering indesit held at 1200 for only around 75 seconds. it is a real shame that this machine broken, since as i mentioned in the video, i think this would have been a machine that i would have actually liked. the machine is completely spotless, too. in terms of dealing with the outlet store - they were fine about it and i've already arranged an exchange, as you saw in the update i posted yesterday. the one annoyance is that i have to wait until the 16th december for the replacement machine. over a week. at least i am an appliance enthusiast/collector, otherwise that would be a huge inconvenience. 00:00 - introduction and selecting cycle 00:11 - start and drain 00:45 - pre-spin distribution 01:53 - actual distribution 02:15 - begin fast distribution 150rpm 02:29 - 300rpm burst 03:01 - 400rpm burst 03:44 - main burst begins 03:47 - 400rpm 05:01 - 800rpm 05:26 - 1000rpm 08:19 - 1200rpm 10:08 - 1400rpm 11:41 - deceleration 12:27 - pause until door unlocks 13:55 - end, unloading and results
