Welcome back to a new mixed set by DJ Mad, spinning records since 1983. This is a selection that is part of a series I’ve dedicated to the dance tunes of the 80’s. This set is the first part, focusing on hits released in 1986. I used to listen and play to these tracks back then, so I tried to recreate that atmosphere, that mood, those seasons, those moments when people danced to real music done by real musicians. This set was selected and mixed by me, DJ Mad, according to my knowledge, mood and experience. Mixed without sync, no turntablism, just old style mixed music, with some imperfection, hope you’ll forgive me, but great tunes is the priority. I don’t play “modern” remixes or reworked tracks but only the original versions. With this mixed set and video I would share my love for good music and my mixing skills. Deejay Mad, Francesco Cifarelli, born in South of Italy 1969, living in Turin, spinning records since 1983 in radio stations and clubs around the nation. Love for music is the reason that pushed me many Years ago to dive into the world of DJs, in an era in which this figure was very far from the high professionalism or superstars that later became. I grew up on black music, Funk, Soul and Disco, but I also loved Rock and Jazz. Recently, I prefer to propose music from times gone by, because I find it much more stimulating, warm, and engaging than the contemporary House Music, even if it is more difficult to mix because it is played from real musicians.
