One day, a traveling poet, Peter MacMillan, arrived in Tsukuba. Originally from Ireland, he is a great lover of Japanese literature and romance. He decides to explore the greatness of Tsukuba area and life of the city. What kind of love can he find through his professional point of view? While visiting Mt. Tsukuba, the beautiful symbol of Tsukuba City and a contrast to Mt. Fuji, he discovers the key to it in a monument inscribed with the lives of people over a thousand years ago. Tsukuba is home to prominent national research institutions located at the foot of Mt. Tsukuba. The University of Tsukuba was founded in the heart of the city and has been collaborating with those institutions. In the year 2023, the university is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
