*MAJOR* Mass Casualty Shooting Response / San Pedro

At approximately 3:50pm, Los Angeles Police Department Officers from the Harbor Division responded to multiple reports of a shooting in progress at Peck Park in the 500 block of South Western Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found multiple victims down in the parking and in vehicles with CPR in progress. LAFD resources were told to hold out due to the dangerous circumstances. When clear to enter the scene, Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported two adult male victims to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. They also transported one additional adult male, and four female adults to local hospitals. An additional victim was self transported via private auto to a nearby hospital and was later identified as the eighth victim of the shooting; that victim was in stable condition. Multiple firearms were discovered at the location and were recovered by LAPD as crime scene evidence. Resources from surrounding agencies such as LASD , LAFD, LA Port PD, & Park Rangers also responded to assist LAPD. July 24th, 2022 - San Pedro, CA
