DayZ - Wood, Nails, House Plot: The player starts randomly on the map, usually on a beach in the fictional post-Soviet state of Chernarus, whose inhabitants have been transformed into zombies by an unknown viral disease. As a survivor, the player must fight their way inland, unarmed and with few supplies, to find food, weapons, ammunition, survival gear, and medicine. Along the way, they encounter both zombies and other survivors. The latter, like the player, are controlled by other players and can therefore be either friendly or hostile. Players can ally with friendly characters; bandits will ambush and rob them. This necessitates a tactical, forward-thinking, and cautious approach, creating a unique tension and atmosphere.
