The ambulance, which was travelling from Badachana in Jajpur district, was heading towards Puri Ghat Road when flames erupted from the vehicle. The patient, family members and ambulance staff were evacuated safely before the fire intensified. Fire Services personnel later reached the spot and brought the blaze under control. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. The timely response of those present helped prevent a major tragedy, especially as a child was inside the ambulance when the fire broke out. According to the source information, the ambulance had come from the Badachana area of Jajpur district and was en route to Shishu Bhavan in Cuttack for treatment.
