On this fourth day in Egypt we moved from Marsa Alam, a mostly naturalistic place, to Luxor, a real city rich in history, where we will relive and learn about Egyptian traditions and culture. Luxor is so rich in monuments, temples, sphinxes, catacombs ... that it has been named as the "largest open-air museum in the WORLD". For this there is no more recommended place to relive the history of ancient Egypt! Ancient Thebes, now known as Luxor, is one of the most historic and important cities in Egypt, in fact it rises on the east bank of the Nile, the longest river in the world (competing for the primacy only with the Amazon River) , as the capital of the pharaohs in their golden age (XVI-XI BC). In the video I will show the long journey undertaken from Marsa Alam to Luxor, and all the main attractions that you absolutely must see before leaving, so the itinerary is based on 1 day, but you can very well decide to divide the 7 attractions into several days if you get the chance!
