Patek Philippe's honorary president Philippe Stern explains the tradition of rare handcrafts and artisanal occupations that since the 16th century contributed to Geneva's global reputation and to that of Patek Philippe since 1839. The manufacture has long played a pivotal role in preserving refined decorative techniques for timepieces, such as enameling, engraving, guilloching, and gem-setting.
