The rear by the engines will always be better! See my other trip reports available through my “Trip Reports” playlist:    • Trip Reports   ————————— The Boeing 717 is my favorite aircraft along side the Boeing 757 because of personal nostalgia and with it being the last “still in major commercial service” member of the DC-9 family that you can fly on! I find the 717/ MD-95/ DC-9-95/ Madpup to be a very underrated aircraft as it is a major workhorse for Delta and Hawaiian, and is one of if not the oldest flying commercial aircraft with a perfect safety record! As the 717s continue to age and word of retirements go around, there still isn’t an official full retirement date set for these aircraft but i strongly believe it to be 2030-2032. So still some time to catch a flight on these old birds! But no matter what, I would highly suggest booking a flight on these classic aircraft when you still have the chance!
