Welcome back to Part 13 of our Pokémon Blaze Black 2 Redux playthrough! After spending the previous episode preparing our team with powerful held items, upgraded moves, and competitive strategies, today it's finally time to put everything to the test against our biggest challenge yet... To make matters even more difficult, our own team doesn't have many reliable answers to powerful Dragon-type Pokémon, meaning we'll likely need both careful strategy and a little luck if we hope to earn our 7th Gym Badge. After navigating the Opelucid Gym and facing Drayden in an intense battle, our preparations finally pay off. Against all expectations, we defeat Drayden on our very first attempt and officially earn the Legend Badge, our seventh Gym Badge in the Unova Region! But our celebration doesn't last long. As we leave the gym, a massive airship suddenly appears above Opelucid City—the infamous Plasma Frigate. Team Plasma launches a full-scale assault on the city, calling upon the Legendary Pokémon Kyurem to unleash an Ice Beam that freezes the streets of Opelucid solid. With the city under attack, Drayden refuses Team Plasma's demand to surrender the mysterious DNA Splicers, forcing us to join him in defending Opelucid against waves of Team Plasma Grunts. After successfully driving Team Plasma out of the city, it appears the crisis has finally come to an end... Until the mysterious Shadow Triad strikes. While Drayden's attention is elsewhere, the Shadow Triad steals the DNA Splicers and escapes, setting Team Plasma's next plan into motion. With no time to waste, we begin our pursuit by traveling through the beautiful Marine Tube, eventually arriving in Humilau City to continue the chase. After an action-packed episode featuring one of the toughest gym battles of the playthrough and one of the biggest story moments in Pokémon Blaze Black 2 Redux, we decide to save our progress here.
