One thing I value a lot is foot comfort under high tension. I tighten my bindings as much as possible, and these let me ride them extremely tight without creating pressure pain on the top of my feet. You can lock them down hard enough to cut circulation—without that sharp, hot-spot pain you get from some straps. The thing I like least about snowboarding is foot pain and heel lift, so I really value a binding that helps minimize both. These have done that consistently for me.
