ASU FIDM Uncertainty Fashion Show | Spring 2025

On April 12, 2025, thirty graduating students from ASU FIDM’s BA in Fashion program presented over 120 original looks at the eighth annual Uncertainty Fashion Showcase, held at Scottsdale Fashion Square — Arizona’s premier destination for luxury fashion. Each collection was ideated, designed, and constructed by student designers from both the Phoenix and Los Angeles campuses. Under the direction of ASU FIDM faculty, students were challenged to develop a collection from concept through construction — exploring identity, heritage, and future-forward fashion with technical depth and creative clarity. This year’s showcase featured collections that spanned streetwear, eveningwear, and experimental couture, with themes exploring neurodivergence, migration, music culture, Afrofuturism, and slow fashion. Sustainability remained a central focus, with students integrating upcycled materials, natural dyeing techniques, deadstock textiles, and low-waste construction methods.
