Moto Guzzi × Magni: Building a Special Italian Superbike - and the Story Behind It
What happens when Italian legends meet in our workshop: Moto Guzzi and Magni? This special project combines a highly tuned Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans (converted to 1000cc) engine with a handcrafted Magni 'Experience' Bol d’Or chassis. A fusion of soulful torque and Grand Prix–bred handling. This video tells the story of a unique motorcycle build that blends two strands of Italian engineering heritage. We look back at the history that makes this project meaningful, tracing Moto Guzzi’s evolution from innovative racing singles to the legendary longitudinal V-twin introduced in the V7 Special and perfected in the Le Mans series. It also follows Arturo Magni’s journey from Gilera and MV Agusta’s racing glory to founding his own workshop in 1977, where he and his sons created boutique chassis and special models for MV, Honda, Suzuki, BMW, and Moto Guzzi. With the heritage clear, the focus shifts to the technical heart of the build. The Le Mans engine is converted to 1000cc and further tuned for extra power. The Magni Bol d’Or frame, suspension, and cycle parts are explained in detail; why each piece was chosen, and how it shapes the riding experience. The video closes by showing the project as it stands: fully mocked up, every part fitted, ready for dismantling, painting, plating, and final assembly.
