ANCEL S3000 Diagnostic Leak Detector. AKA, A Smoke Machine. The Tool Is Needed To Diag Evap Codes.

I picked up this unit to aid in diagnosing "Gas Cap Codes" an entire class of OBD codes that relate to the evap system on modern cars. While this tool is perfect for that task, it it also perfectly suited for smoking intakes, engines, and exhausts to find vacuum leaks, or air leaks there as well. Modern cars have very acurate sensors that get confused when ANY unmetered air enters or exits without passing though the normal route. These tiny leaks create check engine lights that can be nearly impossible to diagnose without a tool like this. I review a lot of products, and have been pleased with nearly all of them, but I am not joking when I say that this tool works as well and feels as well built as the 3K Blue Point machine that I bought some years ago.
