We spent three incredible days on a river cruise on the Kinabatangan River in Sabah, Borneo, searching for the famous Big Five wildlife. The proboscis monkey (endemic to Borneo), the pygmy elephant (the smallest elephant in the world), the saltwater crocodile, the rhinoceros hornbill, and the famous orangutan, did we manage to see them all? The Kinabatangan River in Malaysia is one of the best places in Southeast Asia to observe wildlife, as it is home to some of the most incredible and rare animals on the planet.
