Als der deutsche Segler Max mit seiner Tochter bei einer Nachtfahrt auf dem Mittelmeer ein „Mayday“ empfängt, wird schnell gehandelt: Er ändert den Kurs der kleinen Yacht und involviert andere Schiffe in die Rettungsaktion.
