Samurai Warriors - Yukimura's Tale 1 | Battle of Kawanakajima (Xbox 360)

I went through a game store a while back and saw a copy of SW1 on Xbox so I picked it up, curious to see if there were any notable differences between it and the PS2 version. I only have an Xbox 360 however so I can only play it on that. Original Xbox games can be played on 360, and some of them work perfectly, sometimes even better than on Xbox. But some games, like this one, have issues. Some Xbox games can't even be played at all, so it's really a gamble. For the most part, it plays fine, but it has some graphical issues with the text, the mid-stage event transition effect doesn't display, and probably most annoying is occasional stuttering during CG cutscenes. Most glaringly during the opening cutscene lol. Original Xbox also only had L and R triggers, so for this first stage until I changed the controls I was guarding with LT, which is like guarding with L2. Didn't feel natural at all. Fortunately I could remap them. Original Xbox had the dodge button set to the White button, that would have felt awkward to dodge with lol. The graphics themselves don't look bad, about what you'd get from good emulation. It's very clear. Couldn't get the aspect ratio to be any wider unfortunately. The game feels much easier than I remember SW1 being, but maybe that's just me being a lot better at these games than the last time I played vanilla SW1.
