206 ING 7 RYE CANTERBURY REGRESO en autocaravana con isabekl y Antonio Fuster
At this stage of our campervan trip through England, the road begins to carry the scent of farewell, though it still holds some memorable places in store. It's the stretch where you look in the rearview mirror with a touch of nostalgia, but you keep moving forward because traveling is also about knowing when to close chapters. Our first stop is Rye, one of those little gems that seem straight out of a historical novel. Cobblestone streets, houses crooked by the centuries, and a silence broken only by the sound of footsteps. Rye isn't visited: it's strolled through slowly, almost asking permission, as if the town might be offended if you were in a hurry. To me, it's one of those places that doesn't make a fuss, but stays with you. From there, we continue to Canterbury, an essential city for understanding English history. Its cathedral is imposing, not only for its size, but for the symbolic weight it carries. Here, faith, power, and time blend in a very British way: solemn, restrained, and a little intimidating. Walking through Canterbury is like walking among layers of overlapping history, like a book that has been written over centuries without ever reaching its end. And finally, the moment arrives to begin the return to the continent through the Channel Tunnel. A curious journey: you go from the English landscape to France in the time it takes to drink a half-asleep coffee. There's no visual epic, but there is a clear sense of an invisible border, a change of pace, of returning "home" after having been, for a couple of months, a bit of a foreigner. This video captures the last few kilometers in England, the reflections that come with the end of a trip, and the experience of crossing under the English Channel in the campervan. Because the journey doesn't end when you cross a border: it ends when you stop thinking about it. Thank you for joining me on this leg of the journey. We continue on our way… now to the other side 🚐 This is a travel channel. It distinguishes between campervan trips and longer journeys, with separate playlists.
