Karon "Dog Food" Peoples Was Baltimore's DEADLIEST HEROIN DEALER
In the fall of 2017, law enforcement in Maryland began focusing on Karon Elijah Peoples, a Baltimore City man who investigators believed was supplying significant amounts of heroin to customers across Maryland who traveled into Baltimore to buy from him. The investigation was handled by the Harford County Narcotics Task Force, working with other local, state, and federal partners, and it was driven by covert operations, surveillance, confidential sources, controlled purchases, and undercover buys. Authorities said Peoples, who was 23 years old at the time, was suspected of trafficking and dealing heroin and was already being linked to several non-fatal overdoses in Harford County and surrounding counties, including Baltimore County, Carroll County, and the Eastern Shore. Investigators identified him as a significant heroin dealer, and in some accounts also as a suspected fentanyl source, operating out of two Baltimore locations: a high-rise on the unit block of West Lexington Street in West Baltimore and a townhome in the 6000 block of Frankford Avenue, across from Moravia Park Primary School.
